The Ionian Cup 2025 is an international sailing event organized by MG Yachts and Blue Memories. The event will take place from 18β25 October 2025 in the Ionian Islands, Greece.
Governing Rules:
- The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2021β2024.
- The Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions apply.
- Local port regulations and Greek maritime laws will be observed.
β΅ 2. Eligible Boats & Classes
The event is open to:
- Monohull sailing yachts
- Catamarans
All boats must be seaworthy, insured, and registered for charter or private use.

Entries must be submitted through the [Join > Apply Form] by September 15, 2025.
Required documents:
Completed entry form
Proof of insurance
Skipperβs license or certificate of competence
Entry is only confirmed upon full payment.

π― 5. Scoring & Results
- Low Point System (Appendix A of the RRS) will apply.
- Discards may be allowed depending on the number of races completed.
- Scoring gates will be placed along the route.
π 6. Prizes & Awards
Prizes will be awarded for:
- The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2021β2024.
- The Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions apply.
- Local port regulations and Greek maritime laws will be observed.
π 7. Safety Regulations
All yachts must carry standard safety gear.
Life jackets must be available for all crew.
VHF radios (channel 72) will be used for race communication.
The race committee may alter routes based on weather.

By participating, competitors grant the organizers the right to use images, videos, and media from the event for promotional purposes.
πΈ 9. Disclaimer of Liability
Participants take part at their own risk. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage, personal injury, or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
